New Artists to Roster

After a very busy summer of festivals here at Boom Artists, we are secretly looking forward to the autumn and winter months ahead. After playing to big crowds in big tents over the past months, our artists now get the chance to go back into the more intimate venues across the country. We are looking forward to this too, especially as we have signed some new exciting artists to the roster all available for bookings now.
First up, Dr Meaker. These guys are one of Bristol's prize assets and have won over the hearts of their city with their ability to effortlessly mix Soul with Bass Music. After a hugely successful festival season, they capped it off last weekend with a breathtaking performance at Brisfest where they stole the show and most the headlines.

In 2012, Dr Meaker released singles 'Music In The Night' and 'Fighter', which were both on the legendary Drum & Bass label V Recordings , and 'Shak Out' released on Sludge Records. All three were huge smashes, being snapped up by UKF on Youtube and playlisted on BBC Radio 1Xtra. The band performed a Maida Vale 'Live Lounge' version of 'Flighter' for Trevor Nelson and covered Adele's 'Skyfall' which he described as a "Uniquely Bristol' sound.

New single 'Don't Think It's Love' ft Romaine Smith has been realeased this summer on New State Music, and with support from Radio 1 prime time the future is very bright for Dr Meaker!

Slamboree Soundsystem are a DJ & Singer duo [Freear & Kathika Rabbit] and a host of wild and wacky on-stage performers. Together they perform a full-throttle dance explosion featuring an eclectic maship of Glitch, Breaks, Balkan and Rave!

We a proud to have the legendary bass music icon Deekline also here with us now at Boom Artists. A hero of the underground days, Deekline now oversees a range of labels all of which propel street level artists into the forefront of the electronic music scene. After another huge summer of UK festivals, and fresh off the back of yet another successful Canadian Tour, he has some exciting plans in store for the rest of the year.

Finally we welcome Ed Solo. When it comes to pouring on the bass frequencies, Ed's skills are unrivalled, whether the tune in question be a killer dubstep cut, an upfront slice of Drum & Bass, a booming booty house number or a funky electro-fuelled breakbeat. When not busy in the studio, Ed can be found throwing down on the turntables at festivals and clubs around the country, and we are proud to have him here on board at Boom Artists.
